Milkweed at King Creek

Photos by Barry Wallace
Two days ago I walked
the empty woods, bent over,
crunching through oak leaves
asking myself questions
without answers.   From somewhere
a froth of seeds drifted by touched
with gold in the last light
of a lost day, going with
the wind as they always did.

  1. My first impression when I saw the photo: so pure, clean and shiny. The way it is captured in this picture it could have been a bridal bouquet. Maybe it is one for the "bride" of the new season.
Nice photo as always and you chose a nice poem to go with it. Thank you.
