Trumpeter swan living the good life

Gleaning goodies from Glenville Pond
A pair of Trumpeter Swans are currently occupying Glenville Pond on the southeast corner of Dufferin Street and Hwy. 9.   In these photos taken on Tuesday of this week, one of the swans is seen (above), head submerged, searching the bottom for tasty treats.   In the second photo, it comes up for a breath and gives itself a good head-shake.   At bottom, it surfaces once again with a succulent strand of something in its bill, before continuing to forage with its nearby mate.
